After the Autumn Fairytales

At the beginning of the 21st century, the Rural Mix Project in Beijing, thrived in the imagination of the globalization, has developed the concept of sustainability. Rural Mix is the international term of idyllic idea. It originated from Louis K Wang’s movement in Beijing and experience original movies, music and art in China. Through ever-changing public exhibition and constantly promoting different ways of life experience, Rural Mix is finding a way to exchange and innovate philosophic ideas of modernity.

It is just like good movies with the hope trying to composite and remix new concepts, performances, fashions, musics and presenting methods to elicit deeper appreciation. The Winter Garden and Cookie House are venues to showcase multi-disciplined arts of life in Beijing creatively. It is said that with the support of many woods, one can gain real inspiration from the noosphere.

Louis K Wang and Nana Bee, who have experienced twelve years of pastoral life, will provide people a good reference of how to enjoy better at the digital age. By means of communication arts, such as films, videos, dramas, photography, painting, printmaking, collages, magazines, fashion design and installation, stories were told automatically to people of different cognitive circles.

The artists who came in house on “2019 Autumn Fairytales” were Wang Lifeng,Zhang Zhaohui,Han Qing,Sun Ou,Wang Wei,Sun Kan,Yang LuFeng & Alan Skalaski. Their creative artworks were presented in a venue to glow their amazing charms, just as knights in a rightful castle to show their character spine in a fairy tale of middle-age.

Art Lovers

Most of their artworks were available to be collected  by visiting viewers. In this event let’s get to know Alan Skalaski , an emerging artist from the States, who got a scholarship to learn in Beijing. (Further story presented on YouTube)  In Autumn Fairytales, he shared his artworks depicting solitude of first arriving in Beijing. One of those paintings named “Friends”, capturing his feeling with new friends, was collected by a retired business lady. After his story told by curator Nana Bee, the lady collector got moved and wanted to have that kind feeling forever.
