The culture & art project for Gen-Z creatives, organized by curator/writer Nana Bee and digital artist Louis K Wang, ex-professor of Pratt Institute Manhattan, will be held in Beijing again in July this summer. This art camp is still based on the concept, “Metaverse Exploration Team” as the code name for the residency, with the task to discover the contemporary art value of the royal gardens. Young talents under the age of 25 with practical art-making abilities in various fields are welcome to apply for selection.
“Civilization is enriched through exchanges and mutual learning.” Nana Bee, one of the main creators from iNGO Group for this event, felt that the new generation of young people growing up in the digital age rely too much on Internet communication, are satisfied with online information, and lack more real offline face-to-face interaction and cross-cultural life sharing experience, resulting in combinative strife and a lack of practical experience in exploration and innovation. In order to allow this generation to learn better in the field of cultural creativity, young people with creative abilities in art and design-related fields can spend a meaningful summer vacation through this event. With the perspective of young people’s courage to challenge and innovate, candidates have the privilege to explore creatively in field trip, improving themselves and practical skills, applying what they have learned in school to career, and developing their careers with useful knowledge.
Since the launch of this project last year, it has achieved good results and received attention and assistance from government agencies and relevant units, becoming one of the key projects for youth culture exchange activities this summer. In order to make the event better serve the career development of young people, Nana Bee specially invites scholars, experts and their professional teams to assist and support, coordinates with many enthusiastic business groups to sponsor, so that this distinctive cultural integration and development could have more energetic momentum.
This event will start accepting online registration from now on, and only young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait with artt backgrounds are accepted. Internal youth will be open next year. The deadline for submission is June 1st. Nana Bee hopes that all passionate young people who love cultural and art, care about high-quality digital content, have creative talents, or are students who look for poetry from the distance, welcome to seize this opportunity provided by this new era and make the future of metaverse more colorful and saturated.
The selected winners will receive financial support to attend the event in location and enjoy various benefits.
