From metaphysics to metaverse with art doing, the 2025 “Metaverse Exploration Team” is now accepting applications from creative artists around the world to conduct art & culture exchange in Beijing. It is an art movement for offline, on-location and cross-culture communication to share lifestyles , original concepts for creatives to break any bottlenecks. Welcome artists with aspiration to apply a post, embark on a journey to broaden horizons, discover new trends and explore the source of humanity. It is a great opportunity for transnational quest for life story!
This short-term art residency is operated under the code name ‘Metaverse Exploration Team'(MET). In China, the previous editions have been reported by major medias with NanaBee, a former bestselling novelist and now a senior curator. She is now the convener in this program, working with Center of Culture Creatives and Adverts in Beijing to provide a high-level cross-cultural exchange platform for artists from various regions to explore the contemporary charm of the fusion of old and new in Beijing.
The world composed of digital technology, initially referred to as virtual reality, has now become a cosmos-likeed metaverse, providing more opportunities for the development of contemporary society. However, it is an old saying that “Traveling thousands of miles is better than reading thousands of books”. Indeed, offline journeys are more valuable, and humans can easily understand higher messages from a spiritual level in artistic creation. This experience is a privilege that was reserved for pioneers in times. Now, through social science study, we reserved it in MET to you who are willing to partake.
Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree or above, or with more than 3 years of professional practical experience, majoring in cultural and creative arts related fields such as painting, sculpture, music, design, visual communication, film and television, animation, or digital art.
- Under 35 years old, willing to engage in international exchanges.
- During the residency, be able to create and complete artworks based on the set theme. Welcome creative talents exchange culture diversity with each other.
- Willing to join team activities, and attending in open exhibitions by the ending of residency to share experience with the public.

The selected candidates will be provided with free lodge and workshop. Excellent artworks will also have chance to get $bonuses and network to professional society.
Location:
Beijing urban area, seven days and six nights, including cultural heritage exploration, creative workshops, cultural exchanges, open exhibitions, and a record album of this event. To ensure quality, based on existing resources, each team has a maximum quota of twenty members
